Dear Kelly and
Judy,
As I sit here and watch J. make a peanut butter and jelly
sandwich for his first day of kindergarten, I realize how much
he has grown over the last two years at Spirit at Play.
Even though I thought he should be book learning, you were
right… he would start to learn it even without sitting down and
hammering it out every day. He has grown so much in a way only
SAP could nurture him to. Still a little toddler when he came,
leaving as an independent, smart and ready-to-really-learn
little boy.
Thank you for nurturing him when he needed it and watering him
when he was growing. Spirit at Play has been the perfect
experience at just the right time.
Sincerely, J.
& C.F.

Dear Kelly, Judy
and Spirit at Play Staff,
It’s amazing
how quickly time has passed. It seems as though it was
just the other day that I visited Spirit at Play for the first
time to determine whether or not it was the school for C.
I still remember Judy, sitting in a small child’s chair,
gathered at a table with several students talking about fire
safety. I knew, watching her, that it was the school for
C. So thank you Judy for such a memorable visit.
Based on my visit, I felt that Spirit at Play would be a
wonderful school. I was not let down.
The teachers
at Spirit at Play have always stood out. From the beginning when
C. was under the care of Christina and Tyler to the time when he
was with Kyle and Hayle and finally with Judy at the end of this
time at Spirit at Play, C. as always cherished his teachers. It
has been so wonderful watching him connect with each of you in a
unique way. His face always lights up at the thought of
Christina and Hayle coming over to our house. He even invited
Judy to his last birthday party. And, I will always remember how
Kelly was always a part of C.’s pictures and stories that he
wrote and how he always looked forward to her coming into the
nap room. He still, from time to time, asks me to stroke his
head at night the way Teacher Kelly does.
You have all
been there for C. during his hard times and transitional periods
and have continued to care for him and support him. Someday,
when C. is older, I will be sure to help him understand what you
have all done for him. It was very comforting to know that C.
could look forward to coming to school to get away from his
family troubles and just perfect that he could find happiness
and play in such a manner that he often wasn’t ready to leave
school when I came to pick him up. And thank you Kelly for being
the type of person that I felt comfortable talking with and
sharing personal information with in order to help C. in the
best way possible.
Love, J. and
C. |
